Just when you think I'm out from under a $1,752.34 Discover Card bill, the garbage disposal goes kuploowie. Horrendous noise. Pulled out what looks like a broken bolt.
Reason struggled with outrage.

Was my former life so desperately wicked?
All those pipe stems and connections look more complicated than the Space Shuttles "return to launch site" sequence. The universe is in turmoil, and now I must ingratiate self with Home Depot or Lowes, drag out a wrench. Don't forget to turn the water off. I know.
2007 resolution: I refuse to take personally consistent failures of mechanical devices, be they car parts or essential components of a sink.
