Will June Ever End?

I don't know about you, but this month has been going on for what seems an eternity.

Not to rush or squander time, but let's get into July already. :)

Not every guy in WWII was this lucky.

The Heat is On

Hello lonely blog reader,

This just in: Houston is HOT. Literally.

My blog is a dying breed, what with Facebook and Twitter taking control. Fine. Way of the universe. The $14.99/month webhosting fee is still worth it.

One day I might frame this website into a coherent organization upon one or another principle. Suggestions?

I tend more toward topical commentary and amusement.

Brilliant Product

For that long baseball game or tennis match.

Looks a little unwieldy to drink, however.

Here We Go Again!

wimbledonjpg.jpg
Too bad I can't stay home during the day
to watch it.

Give the Kid a Break

monster.jpg

It is so original!

Eye Candy for Dudes Afraid of Roller Coasters

I know, I know - sophomoric. But then I always was a senior.

"The Husband"

Thrilling page turner for bedtime reading.

Just one more chapter, just one more chapter.

Then the clock reads 3:00AM and so much for biorhythms.

Kindle Trouble

If you have enough electronic devices in your house, a few of them are bound to mysteriously develop problems. Kindle won't turn on after all night trying to charge. Light was blinking. Replugged it in. Still yellow but not blinking.

We'll see later today. Pretty expensive experiment if it in fact is broken. :/

Let's Go to a Party

After Sam's embarrassing comment to the ladies on the cooking show, time to lighten the mood and recall "really good dates."

Sam the Cooking Guy's LAST Appearance on Today Show

oops!

Bad call Sam.

One More Rendition

Live performance. Enthusiastic. Nice to see someone not faking anything. She has the pipes and is loving every minute of belting out her talent when so many others never get such a shot.

The Classical Production

You have got to love the part where she says, "I know I've got issues, but you're pretty messed up too."

Kim Clijsters is BACK

kim2.jpg
She had a great career, retired, looked at life, thought about things.

She is coming back to compete professionally.

Justine Henin, always a comparison, will not return. She left as number one after many years of total 5'3" dominance.

Kim is the sweetest girl.

kimyoung.png
<-- Here she is at age eleven, destroying John McEnroe.

He won't tell anyone about it, but it's true. She beat him.

Sting

No clue how he comes up with this stuff.

Sting is a musical genius.

How is somebody that good?

I'm talking bass, rhythm, chord transitions, unity.

The end result is marvelous.

Add vocals like melted chocolate over ice cream.

Endearing Moment

David Letterman Sucks

david.jpg
"Dave" is not funny. Rarely has been.

This jerk is nothing more than a mean, snarky, snipy, pathetic piece of over-hyped slime, greasing along a delusional existence in his bubble of unbelievably snotty ass kissers who think they know best for the world and have no clue.

More than sheer ignorance, this bastard takes a golden opportunity in life to grow ever more despicable, and that show never gets one second of my attention.

Top ten assholes: number one, and forget the other nine.

How to Hide an Airplane Factory

lockheed.jpg
I wonder how much of this is still going on?

Or are we simply highlighting Google Maps with "special places of interest" for the world to see?

Split Image (or Where has my money gone?)

twentyjpg.jpg
Notwithstanding the plummeting value of this piece of green paper, still a pretty original photograph. Wonder how many tries it took to get the White House to line up exactly right with this bill I was almost certain I had two of in my wallet (suddenly because a ten and a five).

Emerson Has the Right Idea

emersoncam_6_08_09_753AM.jpg
Time for a quick check on the dog cam.

You can see how energetic the canine is.

June 7, 2009

Judy Davis

Wow.

One More Tennis Match

rolandjpg.jpg
Let's hope this match is better than that major Safina choke job yesterday.

Awful.

Mary Steenburgen

mary steenburgen.jpg
Fifty-six is the next twenty-four.

Or thirty-four.

Or forty-four.

Stop counting. The woman is gorgeous.

While wondering how Ms. Steenburgen does it, kick back with a little Mozart.

Reese Witherspoon

witherspoonx.jpg
Don't you love her?

She is unbelievable.

This next looks like a good movie.

Girl can look gaunt.

Reminiscence of a shocked Linda Hamilton.

You know, Reese's IQ is almost as high as Jodie Foster's, which is off the charts.

Jodie does Madam Curie.

Reese might be the next female billionaire, if she plays cards right.

Ms. Johnny Cash.

Or this little uprising....

manmoon4.jpg

I saw her in "Man in the Moon" on a flight from Houston to Paris in 1990 I think.

Blew me away.

The Sims 3

sims3jpg.jpg
I actually bought "The Sims 2" out of curiosity, but never played it.

I figure I need to mix in a family game amongst the war bloodshed, but surprising to a younger self - I don't play many games at all.

Takes TIME.

Still, the technology is improving all the time.

The French Open

Why must we work when so much fun is happening in Paris?

tennisjpg.jpg
Federer down two sets to love? No problemo.

soranajpg.jpg
How about this chick from Romania?

She just knocked off Jankovic in haughty style. Girl can clock it.

That's what I like about good female tennis players - an attitude if not a shriek. My dad hates when they shriek.

I think she looks kinda like Jennifer Capriati myself.

And to think how "old" Maria now is...
