imeem: another internet time-sucker
Tired of trying to sleep with cotton in my mouth. Tongue is getting better. I can actually taste this coffee.
Got a message from imeem about a song I commented upon months ago. Interesting site, full of social options aka Flock. But as I recall, the music and videos, while you can access them at will on your computer, have encoding that prevents direct CD burning, etc. I can't remember what I tried to do and failed at the time, but here is an example with Belinda Carlisle. This is shareable via Facebook.
I hear Firefox is about to release a new version. This browser is superior to Internet Explorer, which I have had no end of problems with on my Windows PCs.
However, I still retain Safari on my Macs. I think that is closely related to Mozilla, not sure about web browser incest rules. I say, if it works, is easy to use, fast - stay with it.
I hope I don't have any meetings at work this afternoon. Need to get home to complete restoring a PC I had to reinstall from the rescue disk due to a failed "Windows Update" that had something to do with Internet Explorer.
Back to imeem.com. An oldie but goodie. I get email of another comment on this every week or so.

I feel for you man. Well, my wife probably does: she's getting Root Canal 2008 v 2.0 as I type this. I won't say something like it won't be so bad for her because she's got a big mouth or anything. Dental work is no fun no matter who you are.
Firefox is my browser of choice. I used to use Safari exclusively on my Macs, but with my older iMac my version of Safari was showing its age and wouldn't load things correctly (i.e. wouldn't let us put in passwords for secure sites, etc.). Safari is Apple-affiliated, and to upgrade Safari I would have had to upgrade my OS as well. Instead, I switched to Firefox and haven't looked back. Fast, awesome and reliable and upgradeable for free.

I like Firefox too. It's my browser on my PCs. Safari on the Macs (along with Flock, which is based on Firefox). No scarcity of choices. If I ever feel the need to switch, Firefox is where it is.
Best to your wife. Tell her to be careful after the procedure, when her mouth is still numb, not to bite her tongue or cheek.

I almost exclusively use Firefox, but I keep Safari on the Mac, as well.
Question - how come that blog list on your sidebar doesn't record any of my updates? I've updated since Jan! Crazy.
